What is bolotero revive?

Boletero Revive is an injectable treatment including hyaluronic acid and glycerol (both substances that are naturally found in the body, that is injected into the face using tiny needles, to help stimulate collagen production, provides hydration, tighten the face, as well as reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

How it works?

Bolotero revive consists of ten injections, five either side of the face using the BAP technique, providing 20mg of hyaluronic acid, and 17.5mg glycerol per treatment. It works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in the skin to hydrate, plump and rebuild new, younger looking skin cells. Once the product is injected it disperses evenly throughout the skin; so visible effects are noticed throughout the whole face. The new collagen and elastin cells significantly improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as plumping the skin, giving a more firm and lifted look.
The treatment is minimally invasive and typically takes around 10-15 minutes, however, the appointment time is 30minutes to include aftercare.

Who is a suitable candidate?

This treatment is suitable for all skin types of all ages, but is very effective for those with dull, dehydrated, tired or ageing skin, those with saggy or loose skin, or skin that is more sunken and requires more volume. It is also beneficial for those with rosacea and hyperpigmentation. This is a treatment that everyone can have.

How much is needed?

Each treatment consists of 1ml of product. For best results 2-3 sessions are required 4 weeks apart and a top up is recommended every 3-4 months to maintain results.

What to expect after treatment?

  • Results can be seen after a few days and gets better over time, full results can be seen after 2nd treatment, but maximum results after the 3rd.
  • Bruising and swelling can occur. It is normal and although it causes no physical downtime, it is important to consider if there is an important event coming up, for example a holiday or wedding. It is recommended to allow two weeks prior to any events to allow for if there is any bruising post treatment.
  • If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another eruption of cold sores, so please also bear this in mind prior to treatment.
  • It is also important to avoid any excess sun exposure, extremes of hot/cold, saunas, swimming or strenuous exercise until the redness and swelling has fully settled.
  • Avoid makeup or facial products for 24 hours post treatment.
  • If needed antihistamines and cool pack (not ice pack) can be used to reduce swelling post treatment. Arnica cream or gel can also be applied post treatment for any bruising to encourage healing, or tablet form is also available and can be used for 7-14 days post treatment.

Is there anything to consider prior to treatment?

  • Avoid blood thinners (eg. Ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin, alcohol, and caffeine). 7 days prior to treatment Blood thinners increase the risk and size of any bruising.
  • Take arnica tablets for 7-14 days prior to treatment. The 30c potency are best.
